<< Return to the Volunteer Task List

When the webinar team identifies an interesting research paper without visible contact details, the volunteer will help locate this information. For each author, the volunteer will: 1. Identify the academic institution they’re affiliated with. 2. Locate their profile on the institution’s website. 3. Copy and paste their contact information into a shared document on Google Drive. Example: For the paper “Monitoring in Small Firms: Experimental Evidence from Kenyan Public Transit” by Kelley, Lane, and Schönholzer (American Economic Review), the volunteer would find each author’s university, access their profile, and record their contact info.

Time Commitment: Approximately 1 hour per week.

Skills Required

  • Strong research skills to locate academic profiles and contact details online.
  • Attention to detail for accurately copying and organizing information.
  • Sound judgment to verify the correct author, especially if multiple academics share the same name (e.g., by checking other publications or fields of study).
  • Familiarity with Google Drive for storing and sharing collected data.
